reviews and general comments thereafter, as well as on those days when there is a sudden cancellation or change of performer or venue to be ‘Retweeted’ to notify one’s Followers. We would of course notify our Society members by post or email of anything important, but we Tweet as well. It gives the Society good publicity too. We shall not be using Facebook. Our Society’s Twitter account is being Followed by performers, choirs, orchestras, publishers, agents and many others who are not professionlal musicians but simply interested in Bliss’s music. In turn we are following similar names and posting Tweets on our own account. Here are a few examples of how we used Twitter when we started: Tweets can only have 140 characters, hence all the abbreviations. We shall add some more recent Tweets here from time to time.
Since 2014 the Society has run an account on Twitter, a social medium not embraced by everyone. It does seem, however, to be a useful vehicle among musicians in publicising performances, and

We Retweeted them (going to all our Followers, thus reminding them of the forthcoming performance).
